This C course provides a bridge for non-programmers and mainframe programmers to smoothly transition to these emerging languages. This class is an ideal introduction to both the C language and some of the ideas behind modern structured program design. Furthermore, C is still one of the most widely used languages for software application programming. This course will teach you how to become an effective C programmer using a structured language that is syntactically very similar to Java, JavaScript, Perl, and C++. The course will combine lecture with a significant hands-on approach to learning the C language.

Audience: Programmers new to the ANSI C language.

Prior experience with some other programming language such as Pascal, COBOL, Basic, or assembler is helpful but not required.
