Using lectures and labs, the Scalable WLAN Design and Implementation (SWDI) course leverages concepts introduced in the Implementing Aruba WLAN course (01060303) to advance your expertise in building complex networks. This course teaches you new skills based upon the Aruba Campus Wireless Networks Validated Reference Design for network design and redundancy. In this course, you will learn about Aruba’s firewall features such as policy design, authentication, role derivation, and more. This course prepares you to design and implement complex networks using Aruba’s Remote APs and multi-controller environments.
Related Certifications: ACMA / ACMP
Related Exams: HPE6-A27, HPE6-A29
Audience: All students attending SWDI need to have completed the IAW course and/or achieved the ACMA certification, and have the ability to provision an Aruba controller with multiple SSIDs, captive portal, and 802.1X.
Objectives:
This hands-on course provides the knowledge and experience required to install and use the AirWave Wireless Management Suite: AirWave Management Platform (AMP), RAPIDS, and Visual RF. Structured labs provide students individual time with the AMP server and a series of exercises that progress from monitoring single-vendor networks to the configuration and reporting of complex, multi-vendor networks. Students also learn how to integrate AirWave products into an existing network. The course is WLAN vendor neutral and assumes a heterogeneous network.
Before attending this course, students must have:
