Cofounders Sarah and Gary Gwaltney started Knowledge Transfer out of their home as training consultants in 1997. Their first client, Best Buy, contracted Knowledge Transfer to supply a first of its kind outsourced training management solution responsible in helping stakeholders design, develop, manage, and monitor their IT training programs. Over the next 5 years Knowledge Transfer worked side by side with the stakeholders ensuring training aligned with the business units aggressive goals. In that same timeframe Best Buy grew into the number one electronics retailer in North America. We too have continued to grow from there!
To this day, the Gwaltney's remain incredibly grateful to the Best Buy stakeholders who saw the value in partnering with a training management company verses selecting and managing multiple training vendors.
